The Soul Train Cruise Wine Tasting Trivia Test

Let’s get ready for the Don Cornelius Family of Fine Wines wine tasting event aboard The Soul Train Cruise! Check your wine wisdom here with our Tasty Trivia Test.

We all know that one of the highlights of the annual Don Cornelius Family of Fine Wines wine tasting is the food. And we’re not just talking about food, we’re talking about chef-curated, gourmet soul food that is paired up with wines so perfectly that the flavors of each flow together so beautifully, taking our taste buds to a new level. So while we’re dreaming of that exquisite moment on the cruise, we’ll start you off with a nice and easy question and even provide answers below:

  • What is wine made of?
  • What goes best with a tender, understated filet mignon?
  • Some spicy Cajun-influenced blackened shrimp popcorn was on the menu at last year’s wine tasting. What should be served beside it?
  • This one’s for the biggest Soul Train Cruise fans out there: who were the celebrity guest hosts at the 2016 tasting event?
  • What does the word “vintage” on the label of a wine bottle refer to?
  • Why should you hold your wine glass by its “stem” or base and not by the bulb?
  • What are the biggest wine producing regions in the world?
  • Is wine really made by stomping grapes in a barrel?

All proceeds from this elegant event that celebrates the legacy of Don Cornelius, will benefit the Don Cornelius Foundation, which is dedicated to establishing programs for awareness, prevention, and support for those contemplating suicide or for survivors who have lost loved ones to suicide.
